Karting Africa is an African-led motorsport and talent development initiative building structured pathways for African racing talent to enter the sport, develop, compete and progress.
Working across the continent alongside National Sporting Authorities, the FIA motorsport development ecosystem and international partners, we are connecting grassroots access, national development, continental competition and international progression.

Why Now?
Africa's talent is not new.
The opportunity to build a connected pathway is
Africa has never lacked talent. It has lacked a connected system to discover it, develop it and allow it to thrive. Karting is the traditional entry point into world class motorsport, yet Africa is the only continent without a unified pathway linking grassroots participation, national championships and continental competition. Karting Africa was created to close that gap.
We believe a young person in Kigali, Nairobi, Accra, Lusaka, Luanda, Gaborone or anywhere else across Africa should have the opportunity to discover motorsport, develop their potential on the continent, compete against Africa’s best and have somewhere meaningful to go next.
The African Motorsport Pathway
The model rests on a simple principle.
A strong continental championship can only exist if every nation has a strong national championship.

Strengthening National Sporting Authorities and National Karting Programmes
It starts inside each nation.
Karting Africa works alongside National Sporting Authorities to strengthen national karting programmes through education, technical support and operational expertise. Drivers, mechanics, engineers, officials, marshals and organisers receive practical training while ASNs are supported in building national championships that can grow independently.
The result is stronger institutions, sustainable national championships and lasting motorsport infrastructure that continues to grow long after the Roadshow has moved on.

Building Africa's Digital Motorsport Infrastructure
Modern motorsport extends far beyond the racetrack.
Karting Africa has strategically acquired the Online Karting League to build Africa’s digital motorsport infrastructure. The platform recreates karting circuits across the continent and connects drivers through year round competition.
Digital circuits are live for South Africa, Namibia and Mozambique, with Angola, Kenya and Seychelles currently under development in collaboration with their National Sporting Authorities.
The platform will power the Karting Africa Online League, creating Africa’s first continent wide digital karting community. It keeps drivers engaged between events, identifies emerging talent and provides year round opportunities for participation and partner engagement.

Building Africa's Premier Karting Championship
Every great motorsport region has a championship that inspires its next generation.
The Karting Africa Championship will become the highest level of karting competition on the continent. Built in partnership with Africa’s National Sporting Authorities, the Karting Africa Championship will unite the continent through equal competition, high sporting standards and a shared vision for the future. Developed with the support of the FIA, the initiative is creating a championship that reflects international best practice while remaining rooted in the needs and ambitions of African motorsport.
The journey begins with the Karting Africa Show run in Angola.
Fourteen National Sporting Authorities and thirty eight young drivers are already committed to the Showrun, where Africa’s motorsport community will come together for the official launch of the Karting Africa Championship and play an active role in shaping its future.
Following the Show run, participating ASNs will determine the host nations for the inaugural Karting Africa Championship calendar, establishing a championship built by Africa, for Africa.

Creating Africa's Pathway to Formula Racing
Africa’s talent deserves a pathway beyond karting.
Karting Africa is already working with strategic partners to establish Formula Africa, creating the next step in the continent’s motorsport ladder.
The vision is simple. A young driver should be able to begin their journey in a local karting programme, compete in a national championship, progress to the Karting Africa Championship and continue into formula racing without leaving the continent.
For the first time, Africa has the opportunity to build a complete driver development pathway from grassroots participation to the highest levels of motorsport.

Karting Africa Chassis
Now Available
Karting Africa brand chassis are now available.The chassis are made in Italy by the producers of the world renowned TB Karts. The FIA homologated Karting Africa Karts are now available for purchase at WORR Motorsport in Bambino, Junior/Senior and Mini sizes.
As the sole distributor of TB products in Africa, Karting Africa wishes to establish manufacturing on the continent in future.

Happening Now
First Ever Karting Africa Show Run
- 10 - 11 October 2026
- Benguela, Angola
Karting Africa in partnership with The Federação Angolana de Desportos Motorizados (FADM) have invited National Sporting Authorities from across Africa to the first ever Karting Africa Show Run at Santos Peras Track Ombaka Staduim in Benguela, Angola.
Vision 2027
Development
Karting Africa aims to run clinics for Drivers, Mechanics, Coaches and Officials in Africa. The booklets introduced at the 2025 Worr Motorsport Camp have assessments, achievement levels and clear criteria.
Championships
The Karting Africa Championships are an Academy Race taking place in 2027. The aim is for series rounds to be hosted in different African Countries throughout the year. As this is an academy race, national authorities can host a race with minimal infrastructure for the 2027 season. More information will be made available post the Angola Show Run this October.
Footprint
Karting Africa aims to establish a physical footprint in all African countries to run grassroots development programmes and supply motorsport goods at an affordable price. The full time presence of karting Africa will rely on local talent to ensure jobs are created to offer world class services for drivers through Worr Motorsport.
